Webinar Overview:

The 2009 CPT manual will approximately 760 changes in all sections including over 300 new codes and instructions on how to use the codes that affect most specialty areas.

This session will take the participant through the changes, explaining in detail how they will impact the physician and hospital coding professional. Participants will work through exercises to show how these codes are used, so it is important for attendees to bring a CPT 2009 codebook (Professional Edition preferred) to facilitate understanding of the new material and to participate in coding exercises. At the end of the day, Karen will discuss Medicare changes to the outpatient prospective payment system.

Participants also will discuss common CPT coding mistakes and work through case scenarios. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions prior to the seminar to allow for research on the correct answers.
